Made out of wood blocks, paint looks good. Not heavy, good size for our Kidkraft Deluxe Let's cook kitchen. My set came with 12 items, Waffles, icecream, Spaghetti Pasta, Orange Juice, Mustard, Ketchup, sugar, salt, rice, soup, cereal and pretzels. It was in Melissa and Doug wooden tray. Tray is too long for our kitchen it doesn't fit in the dishwasher, oven or refigrator storage areas. It's good to keep the wooden tray (or basket)so if you ever need to store play food ...it will come handy. For right now my kids like to keep the food in the Refigrator so I saved the tray in our garage.
